The Richmond Regional Planning District Commission places a large portion of its emphasis toward technical assistance to local governments.  Typically, assignments are either locality-specific or regional in nature involving two or more localities.  The Planning Department provides a variety of services for its member governments.  These services include Community Development, Environmental Resources, Rural Transportation Planning, and Emergency Services.
