Urban Transportation Planning staff coordinates the MPO's participation on the Metropolitan Richmond Air Quality Committee (MRAQC).  Staff provides assistance in reviewing the proposed State Implementation Plan (SIP) revisions and amendments by VDEQ and works with VDEQ to develop and implement the Nonattainment/Maintenance Area Plan for ozone air quality standards. 

RRPDC staff also works with VDOT staff and consultants in conducting the air quality conformity analysis in support of the TIP and LRTP:
