The project template is used by
the committees in tandem with the
CVUASI Homeland Security Strategy Implementation Guide to
develop specific projects that are submitted to the Central
Virginia Urban Area Working Group for review and submission to
the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) and
ultimately to DHS. All committee projects must meet the
following criteria in order to be eligible for UASI funding:

Projects must support and align with
implementing the CVUASI Strategy

Projects must build regional capabilities

Projects must build capabilities with a strong nexus to
terrorism preparedness
