The guidance provides an overview
of the Homeland Security Grant Program (HSPG) and the formal
guidance and application materials needed to apply for funding
under the HSPG program. The HSPG guidance covers several grants
including State Homeland Security Grant Program, Urban Areas
Security Initiative, Metropolitan Medical Response System and
Citizen Corps Program. The grant program specific to the CVUASI
is the Urban Areas Security Initiative Program.
The UASI program funds address the
unique planning, organization, equipment, training and exercise
needs of high-threat, high-density Urban Areas, and assists them
in building an enhanced,
coordinated and sustainable ability to prevent, protect
against, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism.
