    • Sustain the local comprehensive plan process

    • Support the protection of local authority regarding local budget decisions and reject any shifting of funding responsibility from the state to localities for mandated programs

    • Request the General Assembly to support legislation to permit the county to levy a tax on admissions to certain events, amusements and other tourist attractions

    • Request amendment to VA Code § 15.2-2317 to allow the county to join other localities in the Commonwealth who are authorized to impose road impact fees—for construction of an additional road and interchange with I-64 in the northwest quadrant of the county in order to relieve severe traffic congestion

    • All children receive a high quality education sufficient to meet state and federal standards

    • Support legislation to change the City of Richmond's charter to change the terms of City Council from two to four years

    • Support legislation — written as passed by the voters — to change the City of Richmond's charter to allow the At-large election of Mayor
