Dahlgren's Raid
SA-14 DAHLGREN'S RAID: "Here Colonial Ulric Dahlgreen, Union cavalryman, coming from the north, turned east. Dahlgreen, who acted in concert with Kilpatric, left Stevensburg, Culpepper County, on February 28, 1864, and moved toward the James River, tearing up the Virginia Central Railroad near Fredrick's Hall. He went on toward Richmond, burning mills and barns."
