RRPDC Regional Legislative Agenda

Each year, the RRPDC adopts a legislative agenda to guide staff on legislative issues during the following year. The RRPDC Board will often add or remove issues from the legislative agenda throughout the year as appropriate.

2014 Regional Legislative Positions

On December 12, 2013, the RRPDC adopted its 2014 RRPDC Legislative Positions (PDF) on significant issues impacting the Richmond Region.

2013 Regional Legislative Agenda

On November 8, 2012, the RRPDC Board adopted the 2013 RRPDC Legislative Agenda. The agenda includes legislative priorities and position statements on issues impacting the Richmond Region.

The three legislative priorities address transportation funding through comprehensive transportation solutions beginning with an indexed gas tax, eligibility for membership on the Commonwealth Transportation Board, and school rehabilitation.

2011 Regional Legislative Agenda

On November 11, 2010, the RRPDC Board unanimously adopted the 2011 RRPDC Regional Legislative Agenda.

2010 Legislative Agenda

On December 10, 2009 the RRPDC unanimously approved the 2010 Legislative Agenda.

The Agenda contains 27 declarations of support or opposition on issues impacting the Richmond Region, which are divided into five topic areas Governing Locally, Environment, Growth, Public Safety Funding, and Transportation.
