Commerce Corridor

Transportation Connectivity, Accessibility and Economic Opportunity Study

The Commerce Corridor Study is a collaborative planning effort of state, regional, and local interests led by the Richmond Regional Transportation Planning Organization with financial and consultant support provided by the Virginia Secretary of Transportation's Office of Intermodal Planning and Investment (OIPI).

This study has resulted in two deliverables currently in draft form:

Commerce Corridor Study
Implementation Plan (Draft)

Commerce Corridor Study
Technical Report (Draft)

Identifies and positions a recommended list of infrastructure projects to compete for federal, state and regional funding in the short-, medium-, and long-term.

Details the comprehensive study of existing and future transportation demand and system needs for multiple economic development scenarios.
