We're Hiring

The Richmond Regional Planning District Commission maintains a staff to execute its mission. The administration of the Commission is delegated to the Executive Director who reports to the RRPDC Board. 

The RRPDC offers its employees a wide range of standard and elective benefits including paid vacation and sick leave, flexible work schedules, and insurance. Applicants for employment should submit a cover letter and completed application, as outlined below.

As a political subdivision of the Commonwealth chartered under the Regional Cooperation Act, RRPDC employees are government employees and subject to all applicable state and federal laws.

New employees receive the following benefits:

  • retirement plan through the Virginia Retirement System;

  • fully-paid employee health insurance that includes dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage;

  • fully-paid, group, term-life insurance for employee;

  • annual leave beginning at 12 days per year;

  • sick leave for employee and family illness; and

  • 13.5 standard holidays.
